Hello, I'm Akiko, the founder of Worldly Words. Based in Yokohama, Japan — a beautiful port city known as a gateway to the world — I offer online Japanese lessons to students across the globe.
Having spent my childhood in New York and Hong Kong, I grew up surrounded by diverse cultures. This background has given me an open mind and a deep respect for different values. My sincere hope is that you enjoy learning Japanese freely and joyfully.

Building on my 15-year career as an English teacher, I teach Japanese to learners of all ages and levels.
My strength in Business Japanese is teaching practical, ready-to-use skills based on my extensive corporate experience in housing, insurance, real estate, and jewelry.
For children, I foster independent learning through fun, engaging lessons. They acquire Japanese naturally like their mother tongue, without feeling like they are "studying.
英語講師としての15年のキャリアに加え、現在は子どもから大人まで、初級からビジネスレベルまで幅広く日本語を教えています。
ビジネス日本語においては、住宅メーカー、保険、不動産、宝飾業界などでの豊富な実務経験を活かし、現場で即戦力となる実践的な日本語を指導できることが私の強みです。
また、長年の指導経験をもとに、お子さまが自ら進んで学ぶ「自学自習」の力を育みます。幼児期のお子さまには、「勉強」としてではなく、母語のように自然に身につく、楽しいレッスンをご提供します。
